AstroMaster 70EQ is a lens telescope that gathers 98 times more light than a human eye. It is installed on an azimuth mount. Its unique design, reasonable price and wide capabilities are the main advantages of this series.  Telescopes from this series provide bright and contrasting images of Moon and planets. A 70 mm eyepiece enables the observation of the Sun (a special filter is required), Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter with moons, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. The telescope has within its range brighter comets, planetoids and, apart from the planetary system, galaxies, nebulas, globular and open clusters, double and multiple stars.

The telescope, due to its low weight, is ideal as a mobile instrument that can be taken inside a car into areas with better air transparency, away from big cities.
